LuxDeluxe is  an indie-Americana band from western Massachusetts that has opened for Deer Tick, White Denim, and Lake Street Dive. Their album Let's Do Lunch is due  May 5.  Watch the video for one of the tracks from the record, "Keep Your Distance" below.

Deer Tick's John McCauley has said, "This band from Northampton was absolutely amazing. I can be a pissy curmudgeon when it comes to giving new bands a chance. Absolutely spectacular and such a diamond of a live band. They can fucking play. And the keys player has a clavinet. A clavinet! Who in their mind mind would tour with one of those things?"

On  April 21,  Jason Eady  returns with his sixth self-titled release which finds the Mississippi-bred singer/guitarist merging his distinct sensibilities into a stripped-down, roots-oriented sound that starkly showcases the gritty elegance of his songwriting. One of the tracks from the project is "Why I Left Atlanta."

"This song is about a relationship that ended through no one's fault, but simply because two people grew in different directions and the aftermath of that," explains Eady. "Casey Pierce (the director) came up with the idea of showing it from both sides, and I think it ended up capturing exactly what the song is about. The two people in this video are both handling the split in their own way, and the way that they are each handling it shows exactly how far apart they had become."

Fans of country music songstress Sylvia are in for a treat, as the ACM winner for “Female Vocalist of Year” uses actual film footage from her childhood in the latest video for “All in the Family,” the title inspiration for her latest project, It’s All In The Family. The story is told from the perspective of a grandmother talking with her granddaughter while looking through the old family photo album. As the grandmother gives insights into the people within the photos, a greater picture emerges of the similarity of all families. The song suggests that though families struggle, share joys, and endure losses, the love lives on and is the underpinning of it all.
 
“Creating the ‘All in the Family’ video was an emotionally stirring experience for me,” says Sylvia. “John Mock and I used video footage from my childhood that features me as a baby along with my parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins in the 1950’s. I feel that the song, combined with the old footage as well as poignant public domain photos, brings a powerful depth to the storyline. I think anyone can identify with the message of this song."
 
Sylvia, known for signature hits like “Nobody,” recently celebrated her induction into the hall of fame of the North America Country Music Associations, Int’l.  The prestigious ceremony took place this past weekend, in scenic Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The purpose of the organization is “to promote the development of the Country/Gospel Music Industry in each state and country through an International Association.”  Sylvia performed some of her biggest hits, reminding the country crowd of the music they once fell in love with. Other 2017 inductees included Gary Morris, Paulette Carlson (voice of Highway 101), Freddie Hart and more.
