Released back in March, Rich O’Toole's American Kid gave us songs that were snapshots, stories, told via cities throughout the U.S. and included the sweeping, string-accented "Casino Lights." Today O'Toole released the cinematic video for the song which captures the story of "an angel in devil's city" whom he lost to the darker side of life. Watch the video below.

Songwriter Max Gomez has shared a video for his new song, "Make It Me" and announced the upcoming release of a new EP, Me & Joe, out September 22nd on Brigadoon Records. Gomez writes, "This song is an important one to me. It tells a tale as common as the hearts we break. In the video we shot... we captured some of the surrounding beauty in and outside of where I live in Taos, New Mexico. We filmed in the dead of winter. We wanted real snow and we got it."

The Whiskey Gentry recently shared the video for their jaunty single, "Dead Ringer" which finds front woman Lauren Staley Morrow portraying various country artists while expressing the frustration of being a female in the business. She told American Songwriter,

“‘Dead Ringer’ is a song I wrote when I was about to turn 30 and everyone kept asking me questions about what my life plans were – babies, careers, etc,” says Morrow. “We’d been working our butts off for years to make this band successful and people would be comparing me to other singers on the radio: the whole ‘do you know who you sound like?’ thing.” She continues, “For the video, our director Matt Odom thought we should poke fun of the line in that song that says ‘everybody says that I’m a dead ringer for the more famous girl on the radio,’ so we paid homage to all of the ‘more famous women” in country music, starting in the 1960s with Loretta Lynn and moving through the decades with 1970’s Dolly Parton, 1980’s Reba McIntyre, 1990’s Natalie Maines and Shania Twain. It’s all very tongue-in-cheek, and it was incredibly fun to get into costume and character to play these women I admire so much.”
