Nashville, TN (January 30, 2015) - A special exhibit honoring Country icon RAY PRICE and titled "For The Good Times" will be unveiled onSaturday, February 28 at the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame in Carthage, Texas. The new display will feature over 60 of the star's personal items, and represents Ray's many career accomplishments and his lifelong commitment to his craft.  Following a 10 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony, fans can tour the exhibit for the day, free of charge.

Among the treasures they will see:

  • A custom Nudie suit
  • Ray Price Cherokee Cowboy tour jacket circa 1950s
  • Grammy Award for 1970 Best Country Vocal Male for "For The Good Times"
  •  Billboard Award for 1959 Best Single of the Year for "Heartaches By The Number"
  • Cash Box Country Awards for 1959 Best Country Male Vocalist of the Year and 1988 Best Country Male Vocalist of the Year
  •  Academy of Country & Western Music 1970 Album of the Year for"For The Good Times"
  • Custom saddle designed by Billy Cook
  • The President's Cup Aksarben trophy awarded for First Place win by Price's Thoroughbred Sea Phantom (1971)
  • Letter from Lyndon B. Johnson (1972) thanking Price for personal performance
The Texas Country Music Hall of Fame Band will provide entertainment, and numerous special guests are expected to appear throughout the day.  Ray's widow, Janie Price, will be on hand to discuss the exhibit's special items and to sign autographs.

A 2006 inductee into the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame, Price's previous exhibit was "a bit smaller," according to Janie.  "With the excitement of his new CD, Beauty Is ... the final sessions, the Museum wanted to enhance Ray's display, and that tied in nicely with a 3,000 square-foot expansion to their existing exhibit space."  She adds, "Ray was so proud that he was able to accomplish his dream of becoming an international star, but he was most proud to be a Texan, and to be able to give back to his home state.  To have this new exhibit so close to home, as we continue to write the last chapter in his life story, is a special honor."

Tommie Ritter Smith of the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame notes:  "We are thrilled to have formed this partnership with Janie to honor the great Ray Price.  He was very special to us.  We hope his fans will visit our exhibit and love it as much as we do."

Although Price passed away in December 2013, accolades and awards continue to pour in.  The Beauty Is ... project garnered a unique Honorable Mention on Billboard.com's The 10 Best Country Albums of 2014 list, and grabbed the #1 spot on TheNashvilleBridge.com's Top 10 Albums list.  The disc debuted at #22 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, giving Ray his highest solo appearance on that chart in over three decades.  Additionally, his duet with Martina McBride, "An Affair To Remember," scored as #8 on the Hotdisc International Chart's Top 30 Most Popular Songs of 2014 list after three consecutive weeks at #1.  Recently, ESPN-TV soundtracked their College Football Playoff ads with Price's "For The Good Times" and Country's Family Reunion Tribute To Ray Price aired on RFD-TV. The CD, on Amerimonte Records, can be purchased at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store® locations, Hastings Stores, Wal-Mart, Amazon and other retailers.

"The Avenues is a unique soldier in the Americana landscape — though there are threads of country in her writing, there's a stronger inclination towards the more free-wheeling, free-form folk of Fiona Apple, Traci Chapman or Joni Mitchell's Turbulent Indigo, even the aggressive, sultry moodiness of Chris Isaak." - Rolling Stone

In September 2014 Lera Lynn, who won the 2011 Chris Austin songwriting contest, released her second full-length album The Avenues following the release of the self-produced 5 song EP Lying in the Sun in March. The Avenues, produced by Joshua Grange, landed on multiple "Best of 2014" lists from Rolling Stone, American Songwriter, Twang Nation and Huffington Post.

2015 started off with her first national TV appearance on David Letterman on January 5th - click to watch

SiriusXM's "The Loft" will air a one hour live performance (session #416) beginning on January 28th.

In February, Acoustic Cafe will debut a new song titled "Not Home Anymore" (Live from Sun Studio) as part of their Acoustic Cafe Songcraft Presents campaign.

Lera just completed her first headlining tour of Texas playing to packed houses in Austin and Ft. Worth. The tour landed her first ever sold out show in her birth city of Houston! Lera will be back on the road throughout 2015.

(NASHVILLE, TN) – BBR Music Group is pleased to announce the signing of Craig Campbell to its Magic Mustang Music publishing roster. The news follows Campbell’s signing to BBR Music Group’s label imprint, RED BOW RECORDS, last month.

Campbell recently scored his first Top 10 hit with the catchy, up-tempo “Keep Them Kisses Comin’,” which continued its ascent at Country Radio even after former label Bigger Picture Group closed its doors in May 2014.

"I have known Craig for a while and have always been impressed by his talent,” says Juli Newton-Griffith, VP of Publishing for Magic Mustang Music. “To have him as part of our team is beyond exciting. We are ready to hit the ground running!”

The talented artist-songwriter has already marked several songwriting milestones in his career including a co-write credit on the song “All American Kid” featured on country music legend Garth Brooks’ new albumMAN AGAINST THE MACHINE. In addition, Campbell co-penned the majority of songs featured on his 2011 self-titled debut album including Top 15 autobiographical hit “Family Man” and co-wrote half of 2013 sophomore release NEVER REGRET. To date, Campbell has achieved four consecutive charted hits with over a billion radio airplay audience impressions and over a half million downloads.

"I'm super excited to join the Magic Mustang roster," shares Campbell. "Some of my favorite songs I've written have been with writers Rob Hatch and Justin Wilson, and now to be a part of that family is a pretty big deal to me. I've always admired what Juli and the Magic Mustang team do in the publishing world and I am so looking forward to what is ahead."

NASHVILLE, TN (January 28, 2015) – Platinum-selling country star Kristian Bush brings his voice to the forefront with his highly anticipated debut solo album, SOUTHERN GRAVITY, to be released April 7 on Streamsound Records. Drawing on his proven skills as a hit-making performer, writer and producer, the record builds on the catchy, radio-friendly vibe of lead single “Trailer Hitch” and showcases Bush as a recording artist at the top of his craft.

Earlier today, Bush revealed album details in an exclusive on ROLLING STONE Country. Check it out here: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/features/kristian-bushs-southern-gravity-album-not-weighed-down-by-stereotypes-20150128.

"I love this album. The songs on SOUTHERN GRAVITY feel like home to me, and I am proud and excited to share them, finally. They are your stories as much as they are mine, and I hope you hear yourself in here, no matter if you are standing up, falling down, or dancing in between the pieces of your life,” said Bush.

For his solo debut, the GRAMMY Award winner teamed with friend and producer Tom Tapley, as well as executive producer Byron Gallimore (Sugarland, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw), to hone SOUTHERN GRAVITY’sgroove-heavy mainstream country sound. Bush is a co-writer on each of the album’s 12 tracks, including collaborations with legendary Nashville songwriters like Bob DiPiero, Paul Overstreet, Tom Douglas and more.

The feel-good lead single “Trailer Hitch” – now Top 25 and rising at radio -- was released to rave reviews from music critics, radio, and fans alike. Named USA Today’s “Song of the Week,” the track was also featured in ROLLING STONE Country’s TOP 25 SONGS OF 2014 and iTunes BEST OF 2014 – COUNTRY SONGS. The infectious tune has racked up millions of streams to date, and its inspiring lyrics sparked Bush to partner with Goodwill Industries International for the #GiveItAway campaign to encourage donations of used clothing and goods.

The Damn Quails proudly hail from Norman, Oklahoma. Through it all, we have remained dedicated to making the best music possible, doing all we can to bring it to you on the road and in the studio."
