Jesse Rice, a writer on the RIAA Diamond certified longest-running  Billboard   #1 Cruise, walks the plank between trop-rock and country on  The Pirate Sessions III  which was released   Friday, January 27. Much like the predecessors Sessions I and II, Jesse raises the sails on a project that takes listeners on a journey to seashores with copper-tone beach goers sharing beers and umbrella drinks.

“The Pirate Sessions is an album series that serves as an escape to a carefree, beachfront good-time for fans,” says Jesse. “I really enjoy not only performing these songs live, but also getting to record them with my friends here in Nashville. Our previous sessions featured Florida Georgie Line and Chase Rice and this one has surprise guests as well.”

The Weeks to Release 'EASY' April 7th

Watch the "Talk Like That" Video HERE

High-energy, Rowdy, Raucous, Longhair Mississippi Glam Rock.

That's the sound of Easy, The Week's long-awaited followup to their breakthrough album, Dear Bo Jackson. Recorded at Ardent Studios in Memphis — a place filled with the ghosts (and gear) of the Replacements, ZZ Top, and Big Star, all of whom traveled to Ardent to create their own landmark albums — Easy finds The Weeks doubling down on a mix of groove, grit, and guitars. It's swaggering and sharply-focused, shining new light on a band of brothers who, although still in their mid-20s, have already logged a decade's worth of sweaty gigs together.

If Easy bears resemblance to the raw, rowdy attitude of the The Weeks' live show, it's because the album was written at the end of a busy, five-year period that found the group rarely leaving the road.

"We moved to Nashville in 2010," remembers frontman Cyle Barnes, who formed the band in Jackson, Mississippi, with his three longtime bandmates: drummer (and twin brother) Cain Barnes, guitarist Sam Williams, and bass player Damien Bone. "We spent 2011 to 2015 touring. November 2015 was the first time we ever spent an entire month in Nashville."

On  April 21,  Jason Eady  returns with his first album in more than three years in partnernship with   Thirty Tigers. The self-titled release marks his sixth full-length effort and finds the Mississippi-bred singer/guitarist merging his distinct sensibilities into a stripped-down, roots-oriented sound that starkly showcases the gritty elegance of his songwriting.

Today,  RS Country premiered  "Why I Left Atlanta,"  the first single to be released from the forthcoming album. Robert Crawford called the self-titled release "...an acoustic-heavy album that makes room for electricity, eclecticism and guest appearances, with Eady serving as the master of ceremonies."

Tim Carbone, Phil Ferlino, Jeff Miller, Keith Moseley, Sheryl Renee, Matt Butler, & Duane Trucks Join Musical Forces To Release Their 2nd Album, Wilderness And Space, on LoHi Records

Singles to be released for seven months, with 100% of proceeds going to non-profits
First single paired with Rex Foundation to come out  February 17, 2017

ASHEVILLE, NC --  When Relix magazine announced the  The Contribution’s debut record, Which Way World  [2010], and called them a “jamband supergroup,” they also recognized, “the band serves the songs first and foremost.” Although the band is comprised of some of the scene’s heavy hitters, the first listen to their music reveals their love of 60s pop and soul coupled with their ability to flat-out shred. It’s what makes the band appealing to music lovers from all walks of life and they are pleased to release tracks from their upcoming  LoHi Records   album, Wilderness And Space, one song at a time over the course of seven months, with full proceeds of each single going to a different non-profit with each track.

The Contribution is the brainchild of  Tim Carbone  of Railroad Earth (violin, guitar, vocals) together with  Phil Ferlino (keyboards, vocals) and Jeff Miller (guitar, vocals) of New Monsoon.  Keith Moseley (String Cheese Incident), has been the bass player from the band’s inception along with vocalist  Sheryl Renee (The Black Swan Singers). The drum chair has been occupied by  Jason Hann (String Cheese Incident),  Matt Butler (Everyone Orchestra), and currently  Duane Trucks (Widespread Panic). Both Matt Butler and Duane Trucks appear on the band’s new record, Wilderness And Space.

The first song will be released on  February 17, 2017  and all proceeds will be donated to  Rex Foundation. Consecutive songs will come out each month, each paired with it’s own art and a different non-profit partner. Others taking part include  Conscious Alliance,  HeadCount, and a handful of other organizations that support the arts, environment, and health. The full ten song album will be released on vinyl this Fall.

(Press Release) The French-born, Philadelphia-based duo  The Dove & The Wolf  is excited to announce that they have signed to Oxford, Mississippi's  Fat Possum Records. On  March 24, they will re-release their 2016 EP I Don't Know What To Feel  with two new and unreleased tracks. This is also the first time that the EP will be available on vinyl.

Today,  NPR Music premiered the video for "Seven Days" that was directed by Eliu Cornielle and features dancer Jasmine Mendoza. WXPN's Bruce Warren called the song "...shimmering, beautiful and languorous."

Watch the video via NPR Music's Songs We Love:
http://www.npr.org/2017/01/26/511644509/songs-we-love-the-dove-the-wolf-seven-days

"We were, at first, very hesitant about shooting a video for 'Seven Days' because of the subject matter and how close to our heart it is. We didn’t want images to distract from the content. But then we thought of Jasmine, who is an amazing dancer and who uses improvisation in her work," the band said about the video. "The idea of a body expressing the emotion we describe in the song felt right. We had no words for what happened and we still don’t, and Jasmine knew exactly how to interpret and transcribe our song into movements."

(Press Release) On  Saturday, March 4, Randy Rogers Band will headline NYC's 9th Annual Salute to Texas Independence Day, with direct support from Josh Abbott Band. Other artists performing that night include Casey Donahew Band, Stoney LaRue and an acoustic set by William Clark Green and friends. Any patron with a Texas-related tattoo or wearing clothing with a Texas college logo will receive one complimentary drink (must be 21+).

The Randy Rogers Band is a "fine, no-glitz, knowing hard-country outing" (Wall Street Journal) known for delivering two hours of twin-fiddle driven music more than 100 nights a year. After wrapping a sold out West-coast tour to end 2016, the "musicians who grow along with their audience" (NPR) are slated for a record-breaking 2017, touring the East coast to kick off the year, followed by a performance at Stagecoach in April. The band's single "Tequila Eyes" is "a new standard, a sozzled, tragic take on the Eagles' placid country-rock" (Rolling Stone Country) and is currently climbing the Billboard Hot Country singles chart.
Josh Abbott Band is kicking off 2017 with a performance on Conan on Thursday, January 18 (TBS) and their 'Live It While You've Got It' Tour this spring in support of their last release, 'Front Row Seat.' The album debuted at #1 on Billboard's Independent Albums chart and has garnered high praises since release. Rolling Stone Country called it "Ambitious not only for its confidently twangy sound at a time of remixes and pop influence, but because it goes out on a limb in a way country hasn't seen in decades."
Tickets are available on the Terminal 5 website,  here. For sample of what to expect from the show, here's a Spotify playlist:  https://play.spotify.com/user/shorefire/playlist/RRB_JAB_TX
