HONEYHONEY Announces January Tour with JD McPherson and Winter Headlining Dates

Nashville, TN (November 23, 2015 Press Release) - HONEYHONEY is wrapping up a fantastic 2015, with the release of their third studio album, 3, and successful North American tour. Now the band is looking ahead to 2016, and January gigs opening up for indie rocker and label mate JD McPherson as well as some more headlining shows of their own continuing into next year.

3, which was produced by Dave Cobb (Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson) was released in June to critical acclaim. Rolling Stone Country’s Andrew Leahey wrote, “Recorded at the tail end of their two-year stay in Nashville, HONEYHONEY's third album finds the duo mixing the stomp of Americana with the swagger of indie rock. Suzanne Santo has never sounded better, her voice alternating between the husky huffs of a soul singer and the ballsy acrobatics of a bar band frontwoman who's slammed just enough shots to convince her to try all of those difficult runs. Matching her pace are bandmate Ben Jaffe — the calm, steady anchor to Santo's stormy seas — and producer Dave Cobb, who keeps the mood raw and rough-edged by capturing everything in a handful of first takes.”

Leslie Cours Mather Sets Screen On Fire In New Video,"Hell Hath No Fury"

PictureCredit: Lynn Goldsmith
Nashville, TN (November 20, 2015) - Leslie Cours Mather sets the screen on fire in her new video, "Hell Hath No Fury," premiering today on Roughstock.  Directed by 2013 ACMVideo of the Year award-winner Shane Drake (Little Big Town, Taylor Swift, Avril Lavigne) for Taillight TV, the sultry, "woman-empowered" scenes were shot in locations along California's Sierra Highway, including the VFW Hall in Canyon Country, and the Halfway House Café in L.A. County.  Drake hooked Mather with his initial video treatment.  "The concept centered on a 'Quentin Tarantino meets Patsy Cline-esque' scenario," Leslie recalls.  "I was drawn to his treatment for two reasons: it was so cinematic and the character was very different from who I really am."

Leslie doesn't usually swagger around in black leather, a Concho belt or a cowboy hat either, but then the song itself is a bit of a step away from her normal fare.  Written by Kelly Lang, the tale of a woman scorned is an anthem that carries a stern warning for cheaters everywhere. The single, produced by Denny Diante, prominently features Mather's confident, whiskey-soaked vocal, a full-blown contingent of horns on the chorus, and a Southern Blues feel throughout.  The single is currently rising on the MusicRow Country Breakout ™ Chart (#72) and on the international Hotdisc Chart (#18).

"I love this song," Mather states.  "And working with Shane to transition from song to video was incredible.  There are dark aspects of the lyric that he highlighted simply by working with the play of light in the bar; close-ups where he captured real emotion.  It was a great experience for me."  Fans should be delighted to see the always fiery Leslie gaining retribution in the midst of smoke and flame.

Mather is gearing up for the release of her debut Christmas single.  Always on the move, she'sjust returned to her California home after a full week of CMA Award week activities in Nashville.  While in Music City, she escorted her two daughters to the CMA Christmas show and taped two international television interviews:  Hot Country TV (Ireland), The Keep It Country Music Show (U.K.).

PBS to Broadcast All-Star Concert on Jan. 15

(Press Release) The Library of Congress is celebrating Willie Nelson's 60-year career and his selection as the 2015 recipient of the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song in Washington, D.C., with a series of events, culminating in a star-studded concert tonight.

The two-day celebration began with a presentation and special display on Tuesday in the Library's historic Thomas Jefferson Building with a group of the nation's lawmakers, who recognized Nelson for his contributions to popular music.  "Everywhere you look in this magnificent building there are symbols of knowledge, creativity and invention so it is fitting at this time to honor one of the world's most creative and inventive people, this year's award recipient, Willie Nelson," said Acting Librarian of Congress David Mao.

"It is truly a privilege to have Willie Nelson with us in our nation's capital and to be able to recognize him for the immense contributions he's made to the culture of America through music," said U.S. House of Representatives Vice Chairman of the Joint Committee on the Library of Congress Gregg Harper.

"It is a great honor to be receiving the Gershwin award," said Nelson to the group of well-wishers.  "I have been a fan of Ira and George Gershwins' music since I was a little guy and in appreciation for the award-and also I wanted to make some great music-I've just recorded a complete Gershwin album.  It's called Summertime."

OFFICIAL VIDEO RELEASED TODAY ON ETCANADA.COM

November 18, 2015 (Toronto, ON, Press Release) – Following a summer of tour dates across Canada and an appearance on the 2015 Canadian Country Music Association Awards, SmallTown Pistols are releasing a third single from their award-winning sophomore album Pistology. Charting now at Canadian country radio, this single presents the darker side of this award-winning duo.

Partnering with Soundcheck Entertainment, the band released an acoustic performance video yesterday to tide fans over until the release of the track’s official video. Captured at 604 Records in Vancouver, this video opens with the band’s inspiration for the single. “This is our poke at the 'peacockers' guys who tend to puff out their chests and think they can get any girl they want,” explains Amanda. “Jester In A Crown is our way of saying ‘No man, you're not as cool as you think you are.’”

Shot by CCMA Award winning videographer Stephano Barberis, the official video for ‘Jester In A Crown’ features an appearance by fellow CCMA Award winner Chad Brownlee. Both Brownlee and Small Town Pistols deliver incredible performances, leaving viewers with a feeling of deep uncertainty and one pressing question: was the outcome deserved?

Premiering on ETCanada.com today (November 18), the release of ‘Jester In A Crown’ marks the continued success of Canada’s favourite country duo.
